Start for the new vintage bike tour on Sylt For many it is the most beautiful island in Germany, for racing bike fans it is still an insider tip.

On 2. September Sylt will host Cycling Paradise - a tour with vintage bicycles. The relaxed classic tour on the northernmost German island leads along the most beautiful beaches and unique dune landscapes, over dreamlike dyke paths and through idyllic places. 

Bicycles built before 1990 stand for the typical retro look. With fine steel frame, narrow Tires, striking brake cables and sometimes brightly painted in an 80s design, they are right on trend Trend. Hundreds of these stylish racers and their riders, dressed in vintage-inspired outfits start are expected on September 2nd for the premiere of Cycling Paradise on Sylt.

Meet Erik Zabel, who will be riding one of his vintage bikes on the 2nd of September at Cycling Paradise. “I've been cycling all over the world, but on Sylt I haven't yet. A relaxed tour with stylish bikes very close to the sea - that's it Exactly to my liking,” says Erik Zabel, looking forward to circumnavigating Sylt.

With a view of the sea, without any stress or time limits there will be enough head space for stories.  Sylt - a paradise on the bike With a light sea breeze in your nose, you can choose between 100 or 65 kilometers on the most beautiful cycling trails of the island.

The start is directly at the sea, on the promenade in Wenningstedt and passes the Hörnum lighthouse in the very south of the island. At multiple checkpoints with the view, culinary highlights are prepared for the participants where they also can collect the coveted nostalgic stamps for their route map. The destination on the beach of Wenningstedt is the kursaal 3.

Besides amazing breathtaking views at the sea, there will be live music, local food and drinks - a true vintage cycling festival.
